ASTM B265

ASTM B265 is a standard specification for titanium and titanium alloy strip, sheet, and plate. It is published by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). The standard covers the requirements for titanium and titanium alloy strip, sheet, and plate as follows:

Chemical composition
Tensile strength and yield strength
Elongation
Dimensional tolerances
Surface quality
Forming and bending properties
Heat treatment

The specification applies to both unalloyed titanium and titanium alloys, including grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19. The standard specifies requirements for the delivery of material in the annealed condition, and it also provides guidelines for other heat treatment conditions, such as solution treated and aged, as well as solution treated and cold-worked.

ASTM B265 is commonly used in the aerospace, medical, and marine industries, as well as other applications where high strength, low weight, and corrosion resistance are desired.
