Dimensional Tolerances for Titanium Bars
The table below details the differing diameter tolerances for the differing lengths of titanium bar. These are aligned to internationally recognised engineering standards. The differing production methods define the range of diameters for each approach. All titanium rod dimensions and tolerances are agreed ahead of order.

- Out-of-round is the difference between the maximum and minimum diameters of the bar, measured at the same cross section.
- Out-of-square section is the difference in the two dimensions at the same cross section of a square bar, each dimension being the distance between opposite faces.
Since 2010, Shaanxi Standard Titanium Industry Co., Ltd. has produced and supplied titanium bar in a wide range of grades, sizes and cross-sections for international customers. Titanium bar production is managed from raw material and melting through to forging, rolling, heat treatment, finishing and final inspection, with specialist processing used where required for particular dimensions or tolerances.
Round, square, rectangular and hexagonal titanium bars are available in standard and custom dimensions. Production routes are selected according to alloy, section size, mechanical-property requirements and applicable specification, with rolled or forged processing used as appropriate. Surface conditions can include as-rolled, forged, machined, pickled, sandblasted and other specified finishes depending on the application.
Quality control is applied throughout the production route, including material identification, heat traceability, dimensional inspection and verification of the required chemical and mechanical properties. Each order is manufactured to the specified standard and supplied with the relevant material certification and inspection documentation.
Titanium bar remains one of our core product ranges, supported by continued investment in melting, processing, inspection and production capability to improve consistency, capacity and control across both standard and bespoke requirements.
Quality assurance is central to how we manage titanium production and supply. Our QA process includes:
- Process control from raw material to finished product, with quality checks covering titanium sponge, melting, intermediate processing and final mill products.
- Material certification and inspection documentation supplied with each order, including product quality certificates and relevant test reports.
- Controlled stock management for selected materials and sizes, helping us respond quickly where stock is available.
- English-language technical and commercial support, backed by many years of international export experience, helping ensure specifications, inspection requirements and production methods are clearly understood.
